The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has been active in Zambia with several development projects and programs, including Power Africa and the Southern Africa Energy Program (SAEP). SAEP is collaborating with the Ministry of Energy and the Rural Electrification Authority (REA) to support off-grid electrification in Zambia, including through geo-spatial modelling.
