The European Union (EU) is the largest provider of development assistance in Zambia. The EU Delegation to Zambia manages development assistance to the country and has been supporting the government in realizing its national development objectives for over 30 years. More specifically, in the energy sector, the focus is on increasing access to electricity and renewable energy production, as well as access to funding for the development of innovative energy services, including the off-grid segment of the market.
